Our food pantry supports 30-35 local families through the distribution of food and basic essentials on each Tuesday morning. This program was established in 1987 as a parting gift from Cora Mayo.
We provide canned and dried goods, paper items, etc. We also supply milk, cheese, eggs, and margarine. In the freezer we try to have chicken or meat, frozen pizzas, frozen veggies, etc. Each month we recieve a delivery from the Greater Boston Food Bank, which provides us with some fresh vegetables and fruit. Anyone in Orleans can use Cora's Cupboard. We encourage everyone to use the pantry to help save their money to pay other bills.
On Tuesday from 10am - 12pm any Orleans resident can use the pantry. No appointments needed.. A volunteer will quickly register you and give you a grocery list while you remain in your car. Your order will be filled and placed in your car.
